The answer is B, speaker one. popular sovereignty is the idea that the power is in the people, not those who hold political office, and since the colonies were ruled by a monarch, there was little popular sovereignty being applied to the british government. hope this helps!

It was the Mayflower Compact agreed upon by the Pilgrims and the Strangers in 1620. It said that everyone would have a say in the way things were run and was the first written self-government from the British colonies.
