In pilgrim's progress what represents assurance of salvation

History

The scroll symbolizes assurance of salvation in “The Pilgrim’s Progress.”

The scroll was important to Christian because as Bunyan reminds us, it represents “the assurance of his life and acceptance at the desired haven.” Assurance is not guaranteed to all believers and isn’t given in the Christian walk. It can be weak or strong at times and it can be lost for a time because of neglect or sin.
