Syntax is the part of Linguistics that studies the ways words combine in a sentence. It has some rules that govern the structure of a sentence or phrase. The study of sounds in a particular language or in languages generally is called Phonology. Another study in Linguistics is Morphology , which deals with the form of words and phrases.
