The archaeologists consider prehistoric Indians to have believed in some form of life after death because their burial mounds for the dead contained items such as tools, tobacco pipes, and weapons. These manifestation indicates that after death, they can still have their past life on earth, so they still need their tools, weapons and tobacco pipes.

Moreover, this theory was formulated because prehistoric Indians were very religious that resulted to a strong faith of life after death and built their mounds on top of a very large hills as to honor their love ones and as a symbol that their beloved will never be forgotten .
