I was given the task of informing Mr. Singh about the change in plans, which I was confident of doing well. But amidst the throng of people and the continual arrival of other guests, I was so caught up with welcoming the guests and at times, answering their queries that I totally forgot about the errand that I was supposed to do. By the time I realized my 'errand', it was all too late. So, imagine my horror when the welcome speech was to be made. Mrs. Kapoor wasn't there while Mr. Singh had absolutely no idea he was supposed to give the speech. When he was called on stage to give the speech, he blurted out that he wasn't informed about the change of plans. And it was all my fault that he had to make an impromptu speech then and there. The worst part was that almost everyone knew it was my responsibility to inform him about the change of plans. I had never been so embarrassed in my entire life.
