We have that

(v+6)^2 = 324-----> I raise to 1/2 both members----> [(v+6)^2]^(1/2)=(324)^(1/2)[(v+6)]=(324)^(1/2)-------------> v+6=√324
v=√324-6---------> 18-6=12
v=12

the answer is v=12

Answer:

The values of v in increasing order are, -24, 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equation is,

(v+6)^2=324

v+6=\pm 18

v=-6\pm 18

\implies v=-6-18\text{ or }v=-6+18

\implies v = -24\text{ or }v=12

Since, -24 < 12

Thus, the values of v in increasing order are,

-24, 12

Marina86 [1]

Answer:

Mean 1.580666667 1.769333333

Standard Deviation 0.890741799 1.123161779

Step-by-step explanation:

When we run the commands in the R software we get the graphs as follows.

The commands were

qqnorm(c(0.32,0.52,0.77,0.81,0.96,1.2,1.31,1.43,1.62,1.87,1.95,2.1,2.48,3,3.37))

and

qqnorm(c(0.47,0.59,0.81,0.9,1.18,1.2,1.35,1.51,1.74,1.89,2.05,2.2,2.81,3.09,4.75))

We can plot the graphs in any other plotting software .

The results would be same .

We see there's a slight difference between the two graphs.

One curve goes above ( Minneapolis) for  0.4 and the other ( for St Paul) is below 0.4

Approximate the unknown side x in the diagram. <br> A. 3.356<br> B. 5.222<br> C. 3.064<br> D. 4.737
Marianna [84]

Answer:

The answer to your question is x = 3.356 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a right triangle so we can use the Trigonometric functions to solve this problem.

Data

Ф = 40°

Adjacent side = 4 cm

Opposite side = x

Process

1.- We must know the lenght of the opposite side so we must use the tangent to solve it.

    tangent Ф = \frac{Opposite side}{Adjacent side}

2.- Solve it for Opposite side

    Opposite side = tanФ x Adjacent side

     Opposite side = tan 40° x 4

     Opposite side = 0.839 x 4

     Opposite side = 3.356

     Opposite side = x = 3.356 cm
