The answer is D- Sal and Phoebe take courage from their actions and decide to face their own fears. Sal regains enough confidence to face Mrs. Cadaver and form a bond. Phoebe may still be jealous by a new brother which just some how appears out of no where, but can now rely on her mother to be more honest, and not selfish.

what does beowulf not do that he typically does before, during,or after a battle in his fight with the dragon
Svetlanka [38]

The thing which Beowulf does not do that he typically does before, during, or after a battle in his fight with the dragon is his sword as it is useless against the dragon.

This is because in the complete text, the narration is told about the adventures of Beowulf and how he fights Grendel and he strikes with hi sword, but it is ineffective because of the magic which the dragon possesses.
