The Postdam conference was held in Potsdam from 17th July to 2 August 1945. It is also called Berlin conference of the three heads of the government of USSR, USA, UK. US,UK and USSR were the parties that participated in the conference. the three leaders Stalin , Churchill and Truman decided how to administer Germany. Other  goals of the conference included establishing a postwar order, countering the effects of the war, and peace treaty issues. The leader agreed to pay war exact war reparations from the occupied Zones in Germany. Both Germany and Austria were divided into four zones and was agreed to put Nazi war criminal on trials.

On 26th July Churchill, Truman and Chiang Kai-Shek issued the post dam declaration in which they outlines the terms for surrender of Japan. It asked for unconditional surrender.
