Rural farmers grouped together in the 1890s around what monetary issue?
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer: B. Free Silver

Explanation:

Free Silver was an economic policy whereby the money supply of the United States would have been based on both silver and gold with silver having a fixed exchange ratio to gold.

This idea was very popular with rural farmers in the South-west of the United States as it would have given them more profit from farming and an easier way to pay off debt. The Democrats under William Jennings Bryan supported this but were defeated in every election where they stood for it.

What was the outcome of the presidential election in 1940
denis23 [38]
The outcome of the presidential election which took place in the United States during the year of 1940 was that Franklin Delano Roosevelt ran for a third time and won against a Republican, from the same state as him (New York), Wendell Willkie. This was a majority victory for Roosevelt who promised non-intervention in foreign wars as the United States had emerged from the Great Depression and was in the shadow of finishing up World War Two. Wendell Wilkie was seen as a dark horse during this election, who tried to make Roosevelt responsible for war faring and the Great Depression.
