I believe, this is because ; the number of seeds it produces, its thick, woody stem and the number of inches it grows daily. Pigweed is generally found in gardens, cultivated or abandoned fields. It is herbaceous plant that belongs to amaranth family. In addition, it prefers areas with war climate and usually grows in gardens, orchards, fields, wastelands and areas near the roads.
