To alleviate the city's Vulnerability and promote religious freedom, Caesar Augustus ordered the construction and renovation of buildings in Rome.

Explanation

 • Ceaser Augustus originally known as Octavian, did his bit to suppress the uprising caused by Cleopatra and Antonio. He defeated them in a brutal battle known as the Battle of Actium. Post the battle of Actium ,Octavio or Ceaser Augustus annexed Egypt which was the kingdom of Cleopatra.
 • Octavian got his name changed by First constitutional amendment which gave him the right to use a new name which was Ceaser Augustus. Augustus got wide-ranging powers because of the constitutional amendment.
 • He was, however, very mindful of the religious freedom of the people and wanted to promote Roman religion. Keeping this in view in mind he started constructing and renovating Roman religious buildings and civic infrastructures. He claimed to have transformed the Rome brick into marble.
