Mr. Jackson likes to play a game in which rolling a 4 on a number cube doubles your score. He wants to know the probability that

he will roll a 4 exactly 3 times out of 10 rolls. I need four reasons this is an example of a binomial experiment.

3 0

Answer:

1. There are a fixed number of trials

2. There are two outcomes: success (getting a 4) and failure (not getting a 4)

3. You know the probability of success and it is the same for each trial

4. You are looking for the probability of getting a 4 exactly 3 out of 10 times. When you're looking for the probability of getting exactly x number of successes in n trials, that is a binomial probability distribution.

EFGH is a dilation and rotation of ABCD.
The shortest side of the smaller figure corresponds to the shortest side of the largest one, the largest sides correspond, etc.
AB -> EF
BC-> FG
CD->GH
DA->HE

Corresponding angles are congruent in dilations.
Angle A = angle E
Angle B= angle F
Angle C = angle G
Angle D = angle H

Explanation:
EFGH is a dilation and rotation of ABCD. If you take one of the figures, rotate it 180 degrees, and lay it on top of the other figure, the corresponding sides and angles will line up.
