As per the problem,

Allan and Dave bowl together and their combined total score for one game was 375 points.

Allan’s score was 60 less than twice Dave’s.

Let the Dave's score be x and the Allan's score be y then

y=2x-60\\

Since total score for one game was 375 points.

x+2x-60=375

3x=375+60\\\\3x=435\\\\x=145\\\\y=2*145-60=230\\

Hence their scores are 145(Dave) and 230(Allan) respectively.

The Ramirez family has a circular garden with a diameter of 22 feet. They cover the garden with mulch. The cost of mulch is $1.2
sertanlavr [38]

Answer:

b) $475

Step-by-step explanation:

if it has a diameter of 22 feet, that means it has a radius of 11 feet

the formula of the area of a circle is πr². so square the radius and you will get 121, multiply that by π and you get 380

Now we know the area is 380 square feet, so multiply that by $1.25 and the answer is $475

If movie tickets were $5.50 for a child’s ticket and $9.20 for an adult ticket, if 149 tickets were sold, with a total of $1137.
Nata [24]

Answer:

The number of adult ticket = 86

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of adult tickets be x

The number of child ticket = 149 - x

x*9.20  + (149-x)*5.50 = $1137.70

9.2x + 149*5.5 -5.5x = 1137.70

             3.7x + 819.5 = 1137.70

                          3.7x = 1137.70 - 819.50

                          3.7x = 318.2

                               x =  318.2/3.7

x = 86

The number of adult ticket = 86

The number of child ticket = 149 - 86 = 63
