Too much LDL may cause a formation or build-up of plaque in the arteries of the heart, blocking the passage of the blood and restricts the blood from flowing normally. This causes various heart diseases and heart problems which could lead to death. HDL on the other hand carries excess cholesterol into the liver in order to flush them away from the body’s system. High levels of HDL can help lower the risk of heart problems and/or diseases.
