The Plessy vs. Ferguson case strengthened the Jim Crow laws throughout the United States.

Further Explanation:

The Plessy vs. Ferguson case revolved around a man who was considered "1/8th African American" but was forced to move from an all white train car. In this case, Homer Plessy argued that his 14th amendment rights were being violated. The 14th amendment contains the equal protection clause, which is supposed to ensure that all laws apply equally to American citizens.

At this time, Plessy and other African American citizens faced discrimination due to the implementation of Jim Crow laws. Jim Crow laws were made after the Civil War era in order to create separate private and public facilities for white and black citizens.

Ultimately, the Supreme Court ruled that Plessy's rights were not violated. Along with this, the Supreme Court ruled that "separate but equal" facilities for black and white citizens were not a violation of the 14th amendment. This idea of "separate but equal" would hold true until the Brown vs. Board of Education case (1954) overturned the Plessy vs. Ferguson decision.

The correct answer is C.

The Plessy v. Ferguson was a landmark case from the US Supreme Court, issued in 1896.

It confirmed that segregated facilities were not violating the US constitution as long as the ones for whites and the ones for black citizens were equal in quality. From this decision, the principle "separate but equal" was derived.

It actually gave legitimacy to the Jim Crow laws that many Southern States were enacting, and which promoted segregation and indirect discriminations.

HELP ASAP REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND
Rashid [163]
Well, I'm not sure if this will help, but I might be able to explain what it's asking. All it is asking is to research two generals in the revolutionary war, and to say how they preferred to attack the enemy. For example, some generals preferred to attack head on while others attacked secretly. Then, it asks for you to tell what their job was in the war. Were they a patriot or a red coat? Did they command part of the army in a major battle, or are perhaps more famous for providing help to troops before becoming a part of the army? If you need help on who to research, finding some pretty famous generals should work, as they will have the most information on them. Some that I found to be really interesting are Baron Von Steuben, Nathanael Greene, Charles Lee... that's just the patriots, and there's plenty more on both sides. I hope this helps!

According to batson and his colleagues (2002), _____ is appearing moral while avoiding the costs of being so.
antoniya [11.8K]
According to your text, moral hypocrisy is the term Batson and his colleagues (2002) used to describe the tendency to appear moral while avoiding the costs of being so.

The Moral Hypocrisy phenomenon suggests that moral people are often the same people who fail to act morally. While people can see the morally right path, it doesn't guarantee that "moral people" will go to such path.
