During World War II, the Battle of Midway was significant because it evened the naval strength of the Japanese and US fleets. Option A is correct.

The battle of Midway was the great leveller on the Pacific theatre. Priot to the battle of Midway, Japanese had the advantage in naval forces in the Pacific. From this battle on, the major question in the war was who can build more ships and train more crews. Particularly the Japanese officers, who have visited the USA, had absolutely no illusions that Japan could win the war once it became a battle of the production lines.

The battle went down with a lot of luck for the Americans. The Americans sent out a numerous dive bombers and a wave of torpedo bombers. Torpedo bombers found the Japanese fleet, attacked it and we're fended off, the attack claimed the lives of numerous Americans and without a single hit.
