Answer:

The incoming stimuli are converted into the electrochemical signals and are delivered to the central nervous system in form of nerve impulses for perception and interpretation.

Explanation:

The sensory receptors sense the incoming stimuli such as a change in light intensity or temperature. This stimulates the receptors. A sensory receptor converts the energy in the stimulus into a graded potential. This process is called transduction. For example, olfactory receptors of nose transduce the chemical energy of the odorant molecules into electrical energy in the form of a graded potential.

As a graded potential in a sensory neuron reaches a threshold, a nerve impulse is generated and is propagated toward the CNS for integration and perception.

How is glucose different from glycogen?
Zigmanuir [339]

Glucose is different from glycogen as Glucose is used immediately for energy in the cell while glycogen is stored in the liver for later use as energy. Thus, the correct option is A.

What is Glycogen?

Glycogen may be defined as the reserved form of glucose that is constructed up of many interconnected glucose molecules.

When the cell needs immediate energy to accomplish metabolism, they directly use glucose for it, but while energy is not needed by the cell, then glucose is stored in the liver and muscles in the form of glycogen.

Therefore, Glucose is different from glycogen as Glucose is used immediately for energy in the cell while glycogen is stored in the liver for later use as energy. Thus, the correct option is A.

Hormones released by the _______ system regulate the amount of urine produced by the ___________ system
Furkat [3]

endocrine and excretory

Different glands in the endocrine system (ex: the adrenal gland) produce hormones (ex: epinephrine/adrenaline) that circulate throughout the blood to regulate various cellular processes in various areas of the body.

The excretory system is responsible for the excretion of wastes from the body. This body system includes several organs from other body systems. For instance, the lungs are technically a part of this organ system (along with the respiratory system) because the lungs remove CO2 (a metabolic waste product from cellular respiration) from the blood and out of the body when you breathe out. Another, probably even more obvious example, of organs involved in the excretory system are the kidneys, bladder...etc (i.e. urinary system).
