A. Yes the table represents a proportional relationship

B. The constant of proportionality is 1.2

Step-by-step explanation:

Two quantities are proportional if:

  • One of them is equal to the constant times the other one
  • If x and y are proportion, then y = k x, where k is constant

∵ Total wight in pounds ⇒ 12  ,  18  ,  30  ,  60

∵ Number of books ⇒ 10  ,  15  ,  25  ,  50

- Divide each two corresponding data to check if all they give

   the same constant or not

∵ 12 ÷ 10 = 1.2

∵ 18 ÷ 15 = 1.2

∵ 30 ÷ 25 = 1.2

∵ 60 ÷ 50 = 1.2

- That means the total wight is equal to constant times the

   number of books

∴ Total wight = 1.2 Number of books

∴ The total wight and the number of books are in a proportional

    relationship

A. Yes the table represents a proportional relationship

∵ Total wight = 1.2 Number of books

∴ The constant of proportionality = 1.2

B. The constant of proportionality is 1.2

4-2x=11 how do I solve
Bingel [31]

Hey there!☺

Answer:\boxed{x=\frac{-7}{2}}

Explanation:

4-2x=11

In our first step, we will simplify both sides of the equation:

4+-2x=11\\-2x+4=11

Now subtract 4 from both sides:

-2x+4-4=11-4\\-2x=7

In our last step, we will divide both sides by -2:

\frac{-2x}{2}=\frac{7}{-2}\\  x=\frac{-7}{2}

x=-7/2 is your answer.

Hope this helps!☺

erik [133]

Answer:

<u>6 hours</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract saved amount from required amount :

  • $100 - $45.50
  • $54.50

Divide by the pay rate :

  • $54.50 / $9.25
  • 5.89 ≅ 6

Tyrone must work at least <u>6 hours</u> to have $100 saved.
