Explanation:

Ethiopia was the only African country that was not a colony before WWI. It feel to the Italians in 1938 and was liberated along with others in the horn of Africa in 1940 when the Italians were defeated.

I would guess at least 50 countries gained their independence since WWII but without going through each one, one at a time I am not sure.
