What type of wave interaction allows you to hear someone and not see them?

The answer should be "sound waves".

Reason:

If a gun go off the sound waves can go through anything to allow the person to hear for example: the sound wave can go through walls, water, and hard surface. It can also allow you to hear something but not see it therefore the answer is sound wave!
