Answer:

The answer to your question is  32 1/2 in

Step-by-step explanation:

1st jump = 12 5/6 in

2nd jump = 8 3/6

3rd jump = 15 1/6

Process

1.- Convert the mixed fractions into improper fractions

      12 5/6 = (12 x 6 + 5) / 6 = (72 + 5)/2 = 77/6

      8 3/6 = (8 x 3 + 3)/ 6 = (24 + 3)/6 = 27/6

      15 1/6 = (15 x 6 + 1)/6 = (90 + 1)/6 = 91/6

2.- Add the fractions

        77/6 + 27/6 + 91/6 = 195/6

3.- Convert the improper fraction into a mixed fraction

                        32

                6   195

                        15

                          3

          195/6 = 32  3/6   or   32 1/2 in

Answer:

36 1/2 Inches

Step-by-step explanation:

I found this by first adding the fractions up, which gets us 9/6 or 1 and 3/6 or 1/2

12+8+15+1 1/2

12+8=20

20+15=35

35+1 1/2= 36 and 1/2 Inches

Hope this helped

Find the general solution of x'1 = 3x1 - x2 + et, x'2 = x1.
Ann [662]
Note that if {x_2}'=x_1, then {x_2}''={x_1}', and so we can collapse the system of ODEs into a linear ODE:

{x_2}''=3{x_2}'-x_2+e^t
{x_2}''-3{x_2}'+x_2=e^t

which is a pretty standard linear ODE with constant coefficients. We have characteristic equation

r^2-3r+1=\left(r-\dfrac{3+\sqrt5}2\right)\left(r+\dfrac{3+\sqrt5}2\right)=0

so that the characteristic solution is

{x_2}_C=C_1e^{(3+\sqrt5)/2\,t}+C_2e^{-(3+\sqrt5)/2\,t}

Now let's suppose the particular solution is {x_2}_p=ae^t. Then

{x_2}_p={{x_2}_p}'={{x_2}_p}''=ae^t

and so

ae^t-3ae^t+ae^t=-ae^t=e^t\implies a=-1

Thus the general solution for x_2 is

x_2=C_1e^{(3+\sqrt5)/2\,t}+C_2e^{-(3+\sqrt5)/2\,t}-e^t

and you can find the solution x_1 by simply differentiating x_2.

A ramp leads up to a building. The top of the ramp is 6 feet above the ground, and the bottom is 16 feet. What is the length of
andre [41]
We could use the Pythagorean theorem for this kind of problem I think:
A^2 + B^2 = C^2
6^2 + 16^2 = C^2
36 + 256 = C^2
292 = C^2
17.08 = C
C = 17.1 to the nearest tenth
Sorry if it’s wrong and glad I could help if it’s right ❤️❤️ Take care!
