There is no doubt that physical beauty is a highly-valued quality throughout the world. whether we wish to believe it or not, ap

pearance is the first layer of our character, and people pass judgments on us based on this superficial aspect of our bodies. in spite of our many proverbs â "never judge a book by its cover," "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," "beauty is only skin deep" â we are constantly told through literature and popular culture media that the outer shell represents what is inside us.

Hi,

Beauty is very important especially in society. But you must ask yourself when many people are looking just the book by its cover, very few looks the book content. A person can be beautiful however its character and mind are can be exactly the opposite. An ugly person is usually the one who is judged by someone not ugly but that someone is usually the one who doesn't know the book content. Anyways if you are beautiful or not you still have family which loves you infinitely.

Hope this helps.

skelet666 [1.2K]

At birth, babies have 27 intrinsic reactions ready to go when they are a.r.o.u.s.e.d in particular ways. These automatic responses are referred to as reflexes.

<h3>What role do reflexes play?</h3>

Reflexes are almost instantaneous movements that happen unintentionally, unexpectedly, and in response to stimuli. They are sometimes referred to as reflex actions. Neuronal circuits called reflex arcs are capable of responding to input even before the impulse reaches the brain, allowing reflexes to occur.

<h3>What makes reflexes crucial?</h3>

Since there are physical changes and forces at work while you move, reflexes are essential since a quick reaction is required. They have to occur automatically as a result. Reflex responses allow your body to react in ways that keep you safe, support a straight posture, and keep you going.

1. What does Mrs. Dubose mean when she says, "What’s this world coming to when a Finch goes against his raising?" She means that
liq [111]

Answer:

Mrs. Henry Lafayette Dubose's claim that what Atticus is doing is against the very ideal of a white man united with his own people and not acting against them. She is questioning why or how Atticus could go against his very upbringing, where his ancestors had been slave owners and masters.

Explanation:

Harper Lee's famous novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" revolves around the theme of racism and the racist attitude of the people of Maycomb, Alabama. The Finches, through which the writer reveals the plot and story are also part of this town but were different in their viewpoint and even approach.

The character of Mrs. Dubose is an ill tempered woman who lived near the Finches and would always find one thing or another to grumble about. In chapter 11, she is seen exclaiming <em>"What’s this world coming to when a Finch goes against his raising?</em>" By this, she meant to say that she is appalled to find that Atticus is defending the black man Tom Robinson for the ra pe case. She represents the true white people, racist against the blacks and would even criticize whoever defends the blacks. This is not the way in the South, where the whites look out for their own kind. What Atticus is doing is against that very idea, and instead he's fighting for the black man Tom.
