The glands are a group of cells that have the following role in the human body:

Synthesize some chemical substances, such as hormones.

Then, release these substances in the blood, or in body cavities and even on the outer surface.

In the endocrine system we have the following expamples of glands:

1) Hypothalamus: Produces hormones that are responsible for controlling most endocrine glands

2) Thyroid gland: These hormones control the speed with which cells burn fuels from food to produce energy.

Glands in the human body secretes substances such as hormone, sweat, saliva etc. that act on various part of the body to induce various effects. Glands of the endocrine systems include: Pituitary gland, Pineal gland, Thyroid gland, Adrenal gland, Parathyroid gland, etc.
