Given, there are an average of 150 citizens eat daile in the cafeteria.

The average price of their meals = $5.95.

The discount given for sinior citizens in their meals = 20%

So we have to find 20% of $5.95 first.

20% of $5.95 = (5.95)(\frac{20}{100} )

= \frac{(5.95)(20)}{100}

= \frac{119}{100}

= 1.19

So, the amount of discount given to the senior citizens = $1.19 per head.

As there are 150 cinior citizens daily.

So total discount given daily = $(150)(1.19) =$178.5

So we have got the required answer.

Option C is correct here.

Plzz help me! Choose the correct slope of the line that passes through the points (1, -3) and (3, -5).
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

<h2>The answer is - 1</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of a line given two points can be found by using the formula

m =  \frac{ y_2 - y _ 1}{x_ 2 - x_ 1} \\

From the question the points are

(1, -3) and (3, -5)

The slope is

m =  \frac{ - 5 -  - 3}{3 - 1}  =  \frac{ - 5 + 3}{2}  =  -  \frac{2}{2}  =  - 1 \\

We have the final answer as

<h3>- 1</h3>

Hope this helps you

On a bicycle trail, the city is painting arrows like the one shown below: Upper pointing arrow with height of 15 and length of 1
Luden [163]

Answer:

229.5cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to calculate the area of the arrow we need to calculate the area of the body of the arrow, and then the head of the arrow. The body of the arrow is a rectangle meaning that the area (Ar) can be calculated by multiplying the length by the height like so...

Ar = l * h

Ar = 11cm * 12cm

Ar = 132 cm^{2}

Now we need to find the area of the head of the arrow, which is a triangle and therefore we can use the formula for the area of a triangle (At) which is height times base divided by 2...

At = \frac{h * b}{2}

At = \frac{15cm * 13cm}{2}

At = \frac{195cm^{2} }{2}

At = 97.5cm^{2}

Now we simply add both areas together to calculate the total area of the arrow...

132cm^{2} + 97.5cm^{2} = 229.5cm^{2}

Sasha noticed that the graph of the sales of yearbooks represented a proportional relationship. How could she have calculated th
Sphinxa [80]
Sasha can look at the graph and check to see that when she plots the points on the graph, they end up as a straight line. She can also draw a table to test the values and see if when you divide y/x you get the same answer for all of them.

Order the group of parabolas from widest to narrowest.
Mamont248 [21]

Answer:

\large\boxed{y=\dfrac{1}{4}x^2,\ y=-\dfrac{1}{2}x^2,\ y=\dfrac{3}{2}x^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a parabola: y = ax²

The larger the value of |a|, the narrower the parabola.

We have the following coefficients a:

\left|\dfrac{1}{4}\right|=\dfrac{1}{4},\ \left|-\dfrac{1}{2}\right|=\dfrac{1}{2},\ \left|\dfrac{3}{2}\right|=\dfrac{3}{2},

We arrange the coefficients from the smallest to the largest:

\dfrac{1}{4}\

Therefore you have the answer:

y=\dfrac{1}{4}x^2,\ y=-\dfrac{1}{2}x^2,\ y=\dfrac{3}{2}x^2

Hey I need help on find inverses cna you help
MakcuM [25]
I'm not sure what your exact question was, but an inverse of the number x, is whatever number times x equals 1. In order to find the inverse of a number, you simply flip the numerator and denominator. For example:

What is the inverse of 2?

2 = 2/1

2/1 * 1/2 = 1
