Truman was born in 1884 and died in 1972 and was both vice president and 33 president of the United States of America from 1945 to 1953 under the Democratic party. Truman remembers especially for the atomic bombing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of the 2nd world war, the cold war with Russia and the Korean war, and the war in Vietnam.

President Truman understood it as "the decision must be taken" in the sense that nothing but the president (whoever he is) must make the decisions!
