Point slope form is y2-y1=m(x2-x1).
The slope m that is perpendicular to y=-4x-1 will be 1/4 (the opposite reciprocal). Then you can use (-2,7) as the x and y values to plug into the formula:
y-7=1/4(x+2) is the answer.
I think this is what you’re asking for... you don’t need the fractions!
You need to have the common denominator and once you do see how many times the 1/6cup will go into the 7/8cup which is 5
