Answer:

Ordered pairs will be represented as: (3,24) ,(5,32) and (8,44).

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given an equation:

y=4x+12

We have to use x-values 3, 5 and 8

When x=3 substitute in given equation.

y=4(3)+12

y=24

When x=5 substitute in given equation.

y=4(5)+12

y=32

When x=8 substitute in given equation.

y=4(8)+12

y=44

Ordered pairs will be represented as: (3,24) ,(5,32) and (8,44).

You plug in each of the 3 numbers as x so the table should have 3,5,8 as x and whatever you get for y for each one is your answer. I saw that you posted this 2 days ago, so you probably don't need help XD

the amount of gasoline used by a car varies jointly as the distance travelled and the square root of the speed.Suppose a car use
klemol [59]

Answer:

200 litres

Step-by-step explanation:

let g be gasoline used, d the distance travelled and s the speed, then the equation relating the quantities is

g = kd\sqrt{s} ← k is the constant of variation

To find k use g = 25, d = 100 and s = 100, then

25 = k × 100 × \sqrt{100} = k × 100 × 10 = 1000k ( divide both sides by 1000 )

0.025 = k

g = 0.025d\sqrt{s} ← equation of variation

When d = 1000 and s = 64, then

g = 0.025 × 1000 × \sqrt{64} = 0.025 × 1000 × 8 = 200
