History

Free trade results in greater international economic integration. The abolishment of tariffs, quotas and other protectionist measures result in lower prices and more choices for consumers, greater world efficiency and efficiency of exporting producers as competition increases.

The theory of comparative advantage states that countries with favorable factor endowments for a specific product will be able to produce that at a lower opportunity cost than a potential trading partner. This allows for greater world efficiency because as few resources as possible are used for the production of goods and services.

Can someone sum up the Arab Spring? Perhaps you could answer...
mina [271]
The Arab Springs was basically a series of uprisings across the Middle East which had started because people were not happy with life socially, economically, and politically. People in the Middle East were hit with high rates of unemployment, were skeptic of the effectiveness/legitimacy of their dictating rulers, economic hardship, etc. There are many factors that contributed to its failure but one factor that stood out to me the most was the fact that this “revolution” lacked a leader. Winning a revolt without a leader is next to impossible. A leader poses as an inspirational figure that can motivate those fighting toward greater accomplishments. What can you do without that?
