                               4x² - 25 = 0
            4x² - 10x + 10x - 25 = 0
2x(2x) - 2x(5) + 5(2x) - 5(5) = 0
          2x(2x - 5) + 5(2x - 5) = 0
                   (2x + 5)(2x - 5) = 0
       2x + 5 = 0    U    2x - 5 = 0
             - 5  - 5              + 5 + 5
             2x = -5               2x = 5
              2      2                2     2
               x = -2¹/₂             x = 2¹/₂

Solution Set: {-2¹/₂, 2¹/₂}

vfiekz [6]

Answer:

The exact volume of the cone is \frac{196}{3}\pi\ in^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of the cone is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^{2}h

we have

r=7\ in

h=4\ in

substitute the values

V=\frac{1}{3}\pi (7^{2})(4)=\frac{196}{3}\pi\ in^{3}

\text{mass of freight train} = 9.98 \times  {10}^{6} kg

\text{mass of aircraft carrier} = 7.3 \times  {10}^{7}  \: kg

\text{difference of masses of aircraft and train: } \\  \\ 7.3 \times  {10}^{7}  - 9.98 \times  {10}^{6}  \\  \\  = 73 \times  {10}^{6}  - 9.98 \times  {10}^{6}

= (73 - 9.98 )\times  {10}^{6}  \\  \\  = 63.02 \times  {10}^{6}  \\  \\  = 6.302 \times  {10}^{6}  \: kg \\  \\  \approx 6.3 \times  {10}^{6}  \: kg

Approximately, aircraft carrier is 6.3 × 10^6 kg heavier than the freight train.
