The specific heat of water is 4.18 J... water takes a while to heat up compared to other substances. Like how the ocean can still be freezing cold on a hot summer day, or how a swimming pool can be warm in the winter.

C. How many grams of NaOH (sodium hydroxide) are necessary to make 100
azamat

18 g

Explanation:

Remember that 1g is equivalent to 1 ml;

1g = 1 mL

100 g = 100 mL

Therefore in an 18% NaOH solution,  for every 100 mL, there is 18 g of dissolved NaOH. This is how we derive the percentage solution;

18 g / 100 g = 18%

Which of these is the beginning of the life cycle of stars with different initial masses?
tigry1 [53]
The doppler effect, when used with light, produces a shift of frequencies to red. Well, no matter which direction you look, there is a shift to red! That means that the universe is expanding or moving away from us in every direction. The idea, is that this could only happen if all matter was once in a single point, and there was an explosion. This explosion from a single point is called the big bang theory.

Explain what causes acid rain to form and its negative effects on living and nonliving things.
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

The rain containing excess of acids called an acid rain.

Explanation:

The rain becomes acidic because of harmful gases like carbon dioxide,

sulphur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide which are emitted as smoke from

vehicles and industries. These harmful gases dissolve in rain drops to

form carbonic acid, sulphuric acid and nitric acid respectively.

Effects of Acid Rain

 Acid rain makes the water of lakes, ponds and rivers too acidic

due to which fish and other aquatic animals get killed.

 Acid rain eats up the leaves of the trees gradually. By losing

leaves, the trees die. Acid rain also damages crop plants in the

fields.

 Acid rain damages the metal structures like steel bridges, etc

when it falls on them.

 Acid rain damages the surfaces of buildings and monuments made

up of marble.

n unicellular organisms, oxygen diffuses across the cell membrane into the cell. Carbon dioxide diffuses out of the cell once the concentration of carbon dioxide is higher inside the cell than it is outside of the cell. Some micro-organisms, including some bacteria and fungi, can survive without oxygen.
