The cost to rent the canoe for 7 hours is $ 104

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

At eagle bay it cost $12 per hour to rent a Canoe

Nate and his friends rented a canoe for 4 hours and paid $68

Let "x" be the number of hours rented

We can solve use the point slope equation

y-y_1 = m(x-x_1)

Where, "m" is the rate of change

(x_1, y_1) is the sample point

From given,

m = 12

(x_1, y_1) = (4, 68)

Therefore,

y - 68 = 12(x-4)

y - 68 = 12x -48\\\\y = 12x -48+68\\\\y = 12x + 20

Thus the linear equation is found

Here, "y" represents the amount paid for "x" hours

<em><u>Find the cost to rent the canoe for 7 hours</u></em>

Substitute x = 7 in linear equation

y = 12(7) + 20

y = 84 + 20

y = 104

Thus cost to rent the canoe for 7 hours is $ 104

A ball is dropped from a height of 25feet and allowed to bounce until it comes to a rest. Each time the ball bounces it rebounds
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Initial\ Height =25

Rebound = \frac{4}{5}

Required

Determine the height at the third rebound

At first rebound;

H1 = 25 * \frac{4}{5}

Second rebound

H2 = 25 * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Third rebound

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Hence; the equation is:

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Solving further;

H3 = 12.8\ ft

Find the perimeter of triangle ABC.
Harlamova29_29 [7]
By definition, the perimeter of the triangle is the sum of its sides.
 We must then use the formula of distance between points:
 d =  \sqrt{(x2-x1) ^ 2 + (y2-y1) ^ 2}
 We now look for the longitus for each of the sides:

 For L1:
 L1 = \sqrt{(6-2)^2 + (6-2)^2}
 L1 =  \sqrt{32} &#10;
 L1 = 4\sqrt{2}

 For L2:
 L2 = \sqrt{(7-2)^2 + (-3-2)^2}
 L2 = \sqrt{50}
 L2 = 5\sqrt{2}

 For L3:
 L3 = \sqrt{(7-6)^2 + (-3-6)^2}
 L3 = \sqrt{82}

 Then, the perimeter is given by:
 P = L1 + L2 + L3
 Substituting values we have:
 P = 4\sqrt{2} + 5\sqrt{2} + \sqrt{82} &#10;&#10;P = 9\sqrt{2} + \sqrt{82}

 Answer:

the perimeter of triangle ABC is:

none of the above.
