Volume of a cylindrical can  = pi r^2 h
We are given that  h = 4r ,  so substituting for h in the above formula:-
Volume = pi * r^2 * 4r  = 4pir^3 <----  the answer to Part a.

h = 4r  so r = h/4
Substituting for r:-
Volume = pi * (h/4)^2 * h = pi h^3/16 <------- Answer to part b.

(a)
h = 4r
v \: {radii} = \pi \: r {}^{2}  \times 4r \\
= 4\pi \times r {}^{3}

(b)
4r = h
r =  \frac{h}{4}
v \: {height} = \pi \times  (\frac{h}{4} ) {}^{2} h
= \pi( \frac{h {}^{3} }{16} )

Answer:

x = 25

Step-by-step explanation:

Noting that these figures are similar, we set up and solve an equation of ratios:

x       30

---- = ------

15       18

Cross multiplying, we get:

18x = 30(15), or 3x = 5(15) = 75.  Then x must be 25.

Help please help ,,,,,
Natalka [10]

Answer:

18 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

The area labelled A is a triangle.

The area (A) of a triangle is calculated using the formula

A = \frac{1}{2} bh ( b is the base and h the height )

here b = 9 and h = 4 ( the same height as the rectangle ), thus

A = \frac{1}{2} × 9 × 4 = \frac{1}{2} × 36 = 18 cm²

You are given a wooden block that has 4 cm on each side. Its mass is 32.4g. What is its density?
Debora [2.8K]

The density of the wooden block is 0.50625g/cm^3

<h3>Density of a wood</h3>

Density is defined as the ratio of the mass to volume of a substance. The formula for calculating the density of an object is expressed as:

Density = Mass/volume

Given the following parameters

Mass =  32.4grams

Volume = 4^3 = 64 cubic centimeters

Substitute

Density = 32.4/64

Density = 0.50625g/cm^3

Hence the density of the wooden block is 0.50625g/cm^3

0.5(r+2.75)=3<br> Solve for r please
Tpy6a [65]
First you foil so you would get

0.5r+1.375=3

Then you subtract the 1.375 to the 3

0.5r=3-1.375

0.5r=2.375

Now to find r you need to divide by 0.5

r=2.375/0.5
