In order to know how many flyers they will need for this task we need to multiply the total number of people that will march on the parade with the total number of flyers that each person is expected to hand out. So we have:

The Volunteer Club has 78 people that are marching in a parade and each person is supposed to give out out 55 flyers about volunteering. To know the number of flyers that will be needed, we multiply the number of people by the number of flyers each person is holding. This will be :
