Answer the discussion questions below with a one to two paragraph response per question. Write the question you are answering ab

ove your response. Paragraphs should be separate and distinct. A paragraph should have five sentences and include textbook information.
From the book Read Chapters 6-10 in A Concise Guide to Public Speaking, S. Beebe & S. Beebe, 5th Edition

For the purpose of this discussion board identify a leader who demonstrates qualities or values that you believe are effective or admire. When asked to relate the question to a leader, use the leader you have chosen

Why do you think being audience-centered in a speech is important? As it relates to your chosen leader, analyze how the demographic, psychological, and situational factors might make a difference. Address all three factors. This may take several paragraphs.

As it relates to your chosen leader, assuming your audience is the average working student college classroom, how would you customize your speech to your audience?

Develop a general purpose and a specific purpose for a speech on your chosen leader. What might your main points be? These do not have to be in paragraph form. I recommend a list format.

Now navigate to the internet and locate one source regarding your chosen leader (if you have trouble finding information on your leader, you can find information on the qualities of a good leader and apply them to your leader.) Cite the source in MLA format. Then evaluate the source based on the six internet evaluation methods in your textbook.

Finally, support for a speech makes it come alive, identify an example of a definition, an analogy, and a statistic. Provide your example. Then for EACH example explain what you would need to do in your speech to use this material effectively (or explain why it is already effective). List and explanation format is acceptable for this discussion.

Discuss the author's use of phrases and clauses. Begin by identifying the prepositional phrases and any noun, adjective, and adv
zimovet [89]

Hello. You did not enter the necessary text to answer this question, which makes it impossible for it to be answered. However, I can help by conceptualizing the elements you need to find in the text. That way I advise you to find your answer.

A prepositional phrase is a word set that has a preposition in evidence. These sentences are part of a sentence and have no meaning on their own, needing a complement to make sense. Prepositional phrases usually have a structure formed with preposition + object + adjectives or articles. An example of a prepositional phrase would be "She ran the marathon with pride on Saturday"

Nouns are words that give name to any possible being, object, feeling, or possible situation. This will be the easiest element to identify in your text. Ex: House, horse, joy, asphalt, table, dogs, etc.

Adjective is a word that gives characteristics to nouns, that is, that word expresses the characteristics of a certain thing. Ex: Intelligent, clear, thin, noisy, wet, melancholy.

Adverbial clauses are phrases that are inserted in a main sentence, acting as an adverbial adjunct to that phrase, that is, these clauses work as an adverb and therefore, modifying a verb. Ex: She past the test, because she study a lot.

Which quotations support the central idea that Brutus thinks Caesar needs to be killed before he becomes dangerous? Select three
Dafna1 [17]

Answer:

A). "And to speak truth of Caesar, / I have not known when his affections swayed / More than his reason."

D). “And since the quarrel / Will bear no colour for the thing he is”

E). “And therefore think him as a serpent’s egg / Which, hatched, would as his kind grow mischievous, / And kill him in the shell.”

Explanation:

In the given excerpt from Julius Caesar, the options A, D, and E(as mentioned above) reveals as well as supports the idea that Brutus found it necessary to kill Caesar before he could become dangerous for any one. The first quotation('And to....reason') reveals that Brutus had no idea when Caesar transforms into an emotional being from a rational and responsible man('affections sway his reason'). The next quote('And since..he is') discloses that Brutus considered Caesar to be incapable of handling power sensibly once he acquires it. The third quotation('and therefore...shell') reveals the final support to Brutus view that he would become like a 'serpent's egg' after attaining power and become more harmful and threatening . Thus, he must be killed before that and hence, options A, D, and E are the correct answers.
