Make a chart that explains how the purpose of Pikes expedition was similar to lewis and clark expedition

History

Pike's expedition was to explore the lower portion of the Louisiana Purchase. The area was too large for Lewis and Clark to explore alone. Pike's expedition journeyed into the southern areas of the Louisiana purchase and into Spanish Territory. They didn't realize that they had entered Spanish territory. Unlike Lewis and Clark, Pike and his men were arrested. They were taken to Mexico City. They were then escorted back to the border. Before release they were searched for any maps or anything associated with the territory. Pike snuck a map in a telescope past the searching guards.

Arkansas River, large tributary of the Mississippi River, rising in the Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains near Leadville in central Colorado, U.S., and flowing generally east-southeastward for 1,460 miles (2,350 km) through Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas before entering the Mississippi 40 miles (64 km) northeast of Arkansas City, Ark. It has a total fall of 11,400 feet (3,475 m), and its drainage basin covers 161,000 square miles (417,000 square km). From Leadville the Arkansas River flows southeast for about 100 miles (160 km) to Canon City, Colo., falling 6,750 feet (2,060 m). It leaves the mountains near Canon City through the Royal Gorge, a narrow canyon cut into solid granite with vertical walls more than 1,000 feet (300 m) high. The Purgatoire River enters the Arkansas just above the John Martin Reservoir (1948), near Las Animas, Colo. Between Canon City and Great Bend, Kan., the Arkansas River’s channel is wide and shallow and meanders through a dry area that is extensively irrigated. Heavy rainfalls upstream will occasionally cause floods. Southeastward from Great Bend the river flows through a more humid area and is frequently more than 0.5 mile (0.8 km) wide with a deep channel. The river receives its main tributaries in the Oklahoma portion: the Salt Fork, Cimarron, Verdigris, Grand, and Canadian rivers. The Arkansas River Navigation System enters the river 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Muskogee, Okla., at the mouth of the Verdigris River, and continues through Arkansas to the Mississippi. Many water-control projects have been established in the Arkansas River basin, including a multiple-purpose reservoir at Eufaula on the Canadian River near McAlester, Okla. Principal riparian cities are Pueblo, Colo.; Wichita, Kan.; Tulsa, Okla.; and Fort Smith and Little Rock, Ark.

The Arkansas is believed to have been crossed by the Spanish explorer Francisco Vázquez de Coronado in 1541 near the site of Dodge City, Kan., and in 1806 the American explorer Zebulon Pike travelled through the upper reaches.

1. Why did businesses and foreign policymakers increasingly look outside U.S. borders in an effort to gain
densk [106]

The economically imperial policy of neo colonialism was championed by US.

Explanation:

US wanted to increase its sphere of influence and to have more market for their bludgeoning production and factories.

Thus they forced or made many other countries to turn towards a free market economy of which the US was a proponent and then made them a part of their own economic system.

This they did in newer economies that had recently been decolonized or became countries anew.  This was to take advantage of early capitalist economies and to have their influence laid over these developing economies.

1. there were many inequalities that contributed to the French Revolution, the first group was the clergy, the second estate was made up of nobles, and the third estate was the vast majority of the people living in France. One inequality dealt with taxation. The first two estates didn't have to pay most of the taxes.

2. The impact was so big that eventually slaves were freed, because the declaration stated that “All men and women are born and remain free in equal rights”

3. France was broke. The nobility refused to pay more taxes, and the peasants simply couldn't. Even the opulent King Louis XVI, fonder of hunting and locksmithing than governing, recognized that a crisis loomed, they wanted to change between the ruler and the governs to help rebuild their political and economic power.

4. The biggest cause behind the French Revolution was a widespread discontent with the French monarchy and the poor economic policies of King Louis XVI.
