Hey there! I'm happy to help!

All of the sides of a square are the same. Therefore, to find the area, you multiply the side by itself. Multiplying a number by itself is conveniently called squaring.

Doing this backwards is called finding the square root. If you have an area of 64, you square root it, showing you that the sides are 8.

This means the side length of our square rug is √99.

A rational number is one that can be written as a fraction of two integers. If you put √99 into your calculator, you get 9.949874371....

This is not a rational number because it goes on forever in no particular order, so we cannot write it as a fraction of two integers. The closest number we could use to have a rational square root would be 100, as its square root is 10.

Have a wonderful day! :D

I Need Help Find the Mean, Median, and range for 61-66 ... HELP!
docker41 [41]
Please, you need to help yourself by looking up the meaning of these terms:  mean, median, mode, range FIRST.  How else will you know what you're looking for?

Example:  Find the mean of the integers 34 33 35 33 32 35 34 32.  To do this, just add them up, count how many you have, and then divide your sum by that count.

Example:  Find the median of the integers 34 33 35 33 32 35 34 32.  First, arrange these integers in ascending order:  32 32 33 33 34 34 35 35.  Second, count them:  I see 8 integers.  Third, find the median:  It's the average of the middle two integers:  (33+34)/2 = 33.5

How do you determine whether to use substitution or elimination. give an example of a system that you would solve using each met
nadezda [96]
You determine which one to use by seeing which one would be easier

elimination: 5x + 7y = 2
                  -5x + 6y = 6

substitution: y = 9x + 5
                  2y = 7x + 2
