Answer:

x=5, y = 9/5

Step-by-step explanation:

x+5y = 14

3x - 10y = -3

Multiply the first equation by 2

2(x+5y) = 2*14

2x+10y = 28

Add this to the second equation to eliminate y

2x+10y = 28

3x - 10y = -3

----------------------

5x + 0y = 25

Divide by 5

5x/5 = 25/5

x = 5

Now find y

x+5y =14

5+5y = 14

Subtract 5 from each side

5-5+5y = 14-5

5y = 9

Divide by 5

5y/5 = 9/5

y = 9/5

Question 7: Which of the following statements is true?
yawa3891 [41]

Problem 7)

The answer is choice B. Only graph 2 contains an Euler circuit.

-----------------

To have a Euler circuit, each vertex must have an even number of paths connecting to it. This does not happen with graph 1 since vertex A and vertex D have an odd number of vertices (3 each). The odd vertex count makes it impossible to travel back to the starting point, while making sure to only use each edge one time only.

With graph 2, each vertex has exactly two edges attached to it. So an Euler circuit is possible here.

Problem 8)

The answer is choice B) 5

-----------------

Work Shown:

abc base 2 = (a*2^2 + b*2^1 + c*2^0) base 10

101 base 2 = (1*2^2 + 0*2^1 + 1*2^0) base 10

101 base 2 = (1*4 + 0*2 + 1*1) base 10

101 base 2 = (4 + 0 + 1) base 10

101 base 2 = 5 base 10

Can someone help me with functions?
just olya [345]
Yes, the graph is a function and it does pass the vertical line test because when you hold a ruler up to it, you can see that the graph only hits one point at a time.(im not so sure about this, im sorry :/ )

Yes, your range is 2, since that is your y-intercept.

And your other answer choices are incorrect.

1) 15x^3 + 19x^2 + 6x
Hatshy [7]
1.15x^{3} + 19x^{2} + 6x
   x(15x^{2}) + x(19x) + x(6)
   x(15x^{2} + 19x + 6})
   x(15x^{2} + 9x + 10x + 6)
   x(3x(5x) + 3x(3) + 2(5x) + 2(3))
   x(3x(5x + 3) + 2(5x + 3))
   x(3x + 2)(5x + 3)
   The\ answer\ is\ B.

2.2x^{2} - 20x + 42
   2(x^{2}) - 2(10x) + 2(21)
   2(x^{2} - 10x + 21)
   2(x^{2} - 7x - 3x + 21)
   2(x(x) - x(7) - 3(x) + 3(7))
   2(x(x - 7) - 3(x - 7))
   2(x - 3)(x - 7)
