Answer:

X=2

Step-by-step explanation:

9(x+1)=25+x

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

9(x+1)=25+x

(9)(x)+(9)(1)=25+x(Distribute)

9x+9=25+x

9x+9=x+25

Step 2: Subtract x from both sides.

9x+9−x=x+25−x

8x+9=25

Step 3: Subtract 9 from both sides.

8x+9−9=25−9

8x=16

Step 4: Divide both sides by 8.

8x/8=16/8

X=2

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer to the question above is solved below.

9(x + 1) = 25 + x

Expand the left hand side of the equation by removing the brackets. Thus we have: 9 × x + 9 × 1 as expressed below.

9x + 9 = 25 + x

Collect like term. When collecting like terms, +9 and +x change to -9 and -x. Thus:

9x - x = 25 - 9

8x = 16

To get the value of x, we divide through by the coefficient of x which is 8. Thus:

\frac{8x}{8}  =  \frac{16}{8}

x = 2

Check,

9(x + 1) = 25 + x

9x + 9 = 25 + x

Since x = 2

9(2) + 9 = 25 + 2

18 + 9 = 25 + 2

27 = 27

Therefore, x = 2 is justified to be correct.

Sammy wants to deposit into a 7% annual simple interest account she will also deposit twice as much in a certificate of deposit
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer: $2294 should be invested in the simple interest account while $4588 should be invested in the certificate of deposit.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the amount that he would deposit in the simple interest account.

Let y represent the amount that he would deposit in the certificate of deposit.

she will deposit twice as much in the certificate of deposit. It means that

y = 2x

Interest from the simple interest account would be 7%. This mean that the interest would be 7/100 × x = $0.07x

Interest from the certificate of deposit account would be 5%. This mean that the interest would be 5/100 × y = $0.05y.

The total interest from both accounts would be $390. It means that

0.07x + 0.05y = 390- - - - - - - - - - 1

Substituting y = 2x into equation 1, it becomes

0.07x + 0.05 × 2x = 390

0.07x + 0.1x = 390

0.17x = 390

x = 390/0.17 = $2294

y = 2x = 2 × 2294

y = 4588

Anybody know the answer?

Y=x-2+3
I put x-2 because when graphing it's the opposite so it would technically be x+2
Then the +3 for the y chords which go up by 3 ! if this is wrong then try Y= (x-2)+3
