Answer:

cadmium dosage

Explanation:

Cadmium is a rare metal that is most easily found in aquatic environments and possesses the property of being insoluble.  Due to its toxicant properties, cadmium is one of several elements that contribute to the decline of amphibian populations.

In the tadpole phase, amphibians remove the oxygen mixed in the water, just like the fish, through the gills, that are in the inner part of the mouth. If this water is high in Cadmium, the tadpole will be intoxicated and die. For this reason, cadmium concentration is considered an abiotic factor that influences tadpole survival

Abiotic factors are influences that living things can receive in an ecosystem. These influences may be physical, chemical or physico-chemical in nature

What makes a variation different from an adaptation? Use an example to explain.
Talja [164]

Answer:

A variation is different to an adaptation as a variation is a difference or variety inside a species, for example a different breed of dog such as a spaniel is a variety of the dog species, whereas an adaptation is a genetic mutation that has developed in order to help an animal survive, such as giraffes having a long neck. Adaptations continue throughout the species due to natural selection.
