Reza Pahlavi differs from ayatollah Khomeini as he believes in the complete separation of religion and state. He is a member of the Pahlavi dynasty, and is a crown prince. He has campaigned strongly for democracy, human rights and unity amongst Iranians inside and outside of the country. Ayatollah Khomeini overthrew the Shahs of Iran and triggered the Iranian Revolution. He suppressed opposition and focused on a religious government, where many things which were previously allowed became illegal.
