FULL ANSWER
Most states east of the Mississippi River and the states of Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana are located in the temperate rain forest biome, which is characterized by cold winters and warm, humid summers. Most of the Midwest is within the grasslands, which has a semi-arid climate with warm to hot summers.

Areas in and around the Rocky Mountains are in the alpine biome. Parts of California, Nevada and Arizona are in the desert biome. Oregon, Washington and southern Alaska are within the taiga biome, which features long, severe winters, and short, humid summers. Northern Alaska is a tundra, with long, dark winters that are especially cold. Hawaii is within the tropical rain forest biome, which is warm throughout the year with brief periods of reduced rain.

Explain the statement “Scientific knowledge is the result of debate and conformation within the scientific community.”
spayn [35]

Answer:

What this statement means is that experimentation is not enough, but that true knowledge comes from the analysis of results in a critical and meticulous way

Explanation:

Scientific knowledge is based on the scientific method and the results of the research, however that information is useless if it is not interpreted.

When the results are analyzed by scientists who support the same theories and have the same opinions, the results are not enriched as much as when exposed to different points of view. The debate tests the hypothesis giving rise to more complete answers.

Under normal conditions glomerular filtration depends on three main pressures. What pressures is a pressure that favors the proc
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

Glomerular Hydrostatic pressure .

Explanation:

The basic function of the kidney is the formation of urine for elimination through the urinary excretory system. Two different processes determine this formation: the filtration of fluid through the glomerular capillaries into Bowman's space and the modification of the volume and composition of the glomerular filtrate in the renal tubules.  The fluid passes from the glomerular capillaries to Bowman's capsule due to the existence of a pressure gradient between these two areas. This process is favored by two structural characteristics that make renal corpuscles particularly effective filtration membranes: glomerular capillaries have a much higher number of pores than other capillaries, and the efferent arteriole has a smaller diameter than the afferent arteriole, causing greater resistance to outflow of blood flow from the glomerulus and increasing glomerular hydrostatic pressure. Increased glomerular hydrostatic pressure (due to increased blood flow through the glomerulus) increases filtration, while increases in Bowman's hydrostatic pressure or urinary space (which remains constant, unless there is disease at that level, usually due to fibrosis) and plasma P. oncotic (determined by proteins, which tend to "drag" plasma into the glomerulus) decrease filtering. Resulting in a filtering pressure of 10 mmHg.

Assuming that a mountainside, which slopes and has a plain, which is flat, received the same amount of rain, which is more erode
Rama09 [41]
The region that would be eroded the most would be those at the slopes of the mountain. When heavy rainfall comes, the soil in these regions gets soften thus being forced down forming a run-off due to the force of gravity. These eroded soil would eventually continue to the valleys thus causing landslides.
