A cube has an edge lengths of 5 cm. A rectangular prism has dimensions of 5 cm, 25 cm, and 1 cm. Which of the following statemen
murzikaleks [220]

The volume of cube and rectangular prism are same. Option B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

The length of the edge of the cube (a) = 5 cm

The dimension of rectangular prism (l×b×h) = 5 cm×25 cm×1 cm

To find the relation between the volume of cube and rectangular prism.

Formula

The volume of a cube = a³ cube cm

The volume of rectangular prism = l×b×h cube cm

Now,

The volume of a cube = 5³ cube cm = 125 cube cm

The volume of rectangular prism = 5×25×1 cube cm = 125 cube cm

Hence,

The volume of cube and rectangular prism are same.

Draw the fraction 18/6 using a picture
Softa [21]

Anytime you want to show a fraction as a picture, the rule is as follows:

The numerator -- The number of things you want after you divide

The denominator - How many ways you want to divide.

Let's assume you have three PAYDAY candy bars. (I choose this because it's a six letter word - you can use whatever candy bar or food you wish.) We can divide the candy bars into six equal pieces. So the first candy bar is divided like below:

P - first part

A - second part

Y - third part

D - fourth part

A - fifth part

Y - sixth part

Now we can repeat the process for the other two candy bars. To keep things straight, I'll add a number to the pieces - 1, 2, 3 for the first, second, and third bar. Why 3? First, 18/6 simplifies to 3/1. That means there are three whole candy bars. Second, I chose a six letter candy bar because of the original number and 6 * 3 = 18. Our three candy bars (read it top down) look like the one above, and as such:

D1
