Distributing the 33 books in groups of 11 will make it 3 groups . the first group can be selected in 33C11 ... the next 11 can be selected in 22C11 ways and the last group can be selected in 11C11 ways . If you calculate uptill now the answer will apparently seem to be option 1 . But since the 3 groups are indistinguishable, all the possible ways of arranging these three groups in the order of their selection is negated .. therefore we have to divide the answer by 3!

Which are the solutions of the quadratic equation? x2 = 9x + 6
Lelechka [254]
X^2 = 9x + 6
x^2 - 9x - 6 = 0
use quadratic formula : (-b (+-) sqrt b^2 - 4ac) / (2a)
a = 1, b = -9, c = -6
now we sub

x = (-(-9) (+-) sqrt -9^2 - 4(1)(-6)) / 2(1)
x = 9 (+-) sqrt 81 + 24)/2
x = 9 (+-) sqrt 105) / 2
x = 9/2 + 1/2 sqrt 105 or x = 9/2 - 1/2 sqrt 105

Suppose x represents an objects weight on Earth. Write two expressions: one that you can use to find the objects weight on Mars
tatyana61 [14]
The weight of an object is the product of its mass and the acceleration of gravity.
If g[e] is the acceleration of gravity on earth, and g[M] the same for Mars and g[m] the same for the moon,
then m[M]=m[e]g[M]/g[e] and m[m]=m[e]g[m]/g[e] where m[ ] denotes mass. Note that weight=mg (measured in newtons) while mass is in kilograms.
If g[M]=g[e]/3 and g[m]=g[e]/6 approximately. Then the weight of an object on Mars will be about a third of what it is on earth, while on the moon it would be about a sixth of what it is on earth.
