Most animals in the rainforest live in the canopy. The layer below the canopy is called the understory. Small trees and plants that do not need much light grow here. The last layer is the forest floor where only a few plants grow because it's so dark.
But in the tropical rainforest, plants grow so fast that they rapidly consume the nutrients from the decomposed leaf litter. As a result, most of the nutrients are contained in the trees and other plants rather than in the soil.
Cell divison is necessary to replace cells that are worn and aging. Cells do not have an indefinite life span. Fo example, the life span of a red blood cell is about 120 days.
This bacteria is called <u>Spirilla (Spirillus)</u>
Explanation:
Spirilla is a <em>Gram-negative</em> bacteria. It is formed by rigid cell walls that maintain its shape. It has external flagella in both ends, which provide the cell with the capacity of moving fast. An example of this bacteria is <em>helycobacter pylori </em>
