The right answer is option two.

In Alexander Dumas' "The Count of Monte Cristo," the noise in the wall gives Edmond a sense of  hope. When he starts hearing the noise, he is starving himself, so he believes it is an illusion. After realizing that the noise is product of another human being, it gives him a feeling of hope and starts eating again.

Is the destruction of public property, such as statues, ever justifiable? Why/why not?
Arisa [49]

Hope this is sort of what you were going for! :)

The destruction of any public property, be it statues or historical buildings, is completely unjustifiable. Not only does destroying these artifacts not benefit anyone, but it hurts countless people. From public workers, who'd have to either rebuild or clean up the destroyed property, to people with connections to the monuments having to deal with the losses, no one is benefited by blatant acts of destruction such as these. And, arguably, not even those who commit them.

2. At this point in the play, how would you describe Elizabeth’s character? Physically, what state is she in?
atroni [7]

Hello. Although this question refers to the play "The crucuble" you did not inform the point of the play to which you ask these questions, which makes it difficult to answer accurately.

Elizbeth is portrayed as a sick character, which we can see that physically she is very weak and does not have the liveliness that other characters, like Abigail does. This can contribute to the lack of attractiveness between John and her, in addition to contributing to his initiative in looking for a lover. Elizabeth is also portrayed as a cold and emotionless wife at the beginning of the story, but shows a strong loyalty, courage and affection for John throughout the narrative.

Answer:

a. Where did the grass and plants come from?

b. Why do turtles have strange markings on their shells?

e. How was the Earth created?

Explanation:

"The Earth On Turtle's Back" by Michael J. Caduto and Joseph Bruchac tells the myth or how the Native Americans believe to be the origin of life and the whole earth. It tells the story of how things began, how some phenomenons came about, and what led to the creation of the earth that we're living on now.

In the myth, the Onondaga people believe that the earth was formed as a result of the fall of the Ancient Chief's wife from Skyland. In their attempt to keep her safe, the animals tried hard to find land for the pregnant woman. In her fall, she had some seeds from the tree she was leaning on, and when the earth was made on the turtle's back, the seeds were put and they grew to make the earth. Also, the myth also tells the story of how the turtles have strange markings on their shells, which was a result of Muskrat's paw with the earth that he'd placed on the turtle's back to make a safe place for the woman.

Thus, the correct answers are option a. b, and e.
