Answer:

B. Shift between past and present tense as often as necessary when

writing about literature, but do not use the future tense.

Explanation:

Tense changes should not be avoided. However, sometimes a shift in tense is just not necessary to indicate a change in the timeframe, both in fiction or non-ficton writing. The unnecessary shifts in tense may cause awkwardness and it's misuses must be avoided.

Let us define the choices first. There are two figures of speech here: Simile and Personification. Simile is relating two things that are in some way, the same while personification is assigning the person’s qualities to something non-living. Cliché is using something (a word, phrase, idea, etc) again and again until it loses its meaning and a pun (or paronomasia) makes a play on words by using words with double meanings or homonyms. With respect to their meanings, ‘barking up the wrong tree’ is a personification. If we likened the phrase with an example, A person is getting angry on the wrong person.

1. What is Atticus's explanation for Bob Ewell's harboring a grudge against everybody connected with the case?
ivolga24 [154]

Answer:

B

Explanation:

If you give chapter 27 a quick skim, Atticus mentions that Bob holds a grudge against him because his original assumption was that the community would believe his story and see him as a hero, but after Atticus disproves this, his description (to the public eye) isn't changed.
