Answer: 21 quarts

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Working together,Edith and Rupert can pick 3 quarts of blueberries in an hour.

i.e. The number of quarts of blueberries they pick in one hour = 3

Then, the number of quarts they can pick in 7 hours is given by :-

3\times7=21

Hence, the number of quarts they can pick in 7 hours is 21 quarts.

Since they pick 3 quarts in 1 hour they can pick 6 quarts in 2 hours and 9 quarts in 3 and so on. So the number of quarts they can pick in a certain amount of hours is just the total number of hours they spend picking times 3 quarts. So since they picked for 7 hours and each of those hours they picked 3 quarts, in total they picked 21 quarts

7 x 3 = 21 quarts

Second, simplify 7v - 2v to 5v. / Your problem should look like: 5v = -20
Third, divide both sides by 5. / Your problem should look like: v = - \frac{20}{5}
Fourth, simplify \frac{20}{5} to 4. / Your problem should look like: v = -4

If ED = x + 4 and DB = 3x - 8, find ED, DB, and EB
Tom [10]

Answer:

Part 1) ED=10\ units

Part 2) DB=10\ units

Part 3) EB=20\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

EB=ED+DB

ED=DB -----> given problem

Substitute the given values and solve for x

x+4=3x-8

3x-x=4+8

2x=12

x=6

<em>Find the value of ED</em>

ED=x+4

substitute the value of x

ED=6+4=10\ units

<em>Find the value of DB</em>

Remember that

ED=DB

therefore

DB=10\ units

<em>Find the value of EB</em>

EB=ED+DB

EB=10+10=20\ units
