ite an equation and solve it to determine the volume of the highest price to camera that he can purchase within his $45, including the sales tax round your answer to the nearest penny
A. x-0.07x=45; $48.39

B. 0.7x=45; x=$64.29

C. 7x=45; x=$6.43

X= price of camera

Multiplying the price of the camera by the sales tax percent will equal the amount of tax. Add the amount of tax to the price of the camera.

x + (x * 7%)= $45.00
convert % to decimal (7% ÷ 100)

x + (x * 0.07)= 45.00
multiply in parentheses

x + 0.07x= 45.00
combine like terms

1.07x= 45.00
divide both sides by 1.07

x= $42.056

x= $42.06 rounded

ANSWER: (D) x + 0.07x= $45; x= $42.06

Hope this helps! :)

Find the value of x in the isosceles triangle shown below.
Ghella [55]

Answer: A, x = square root of 60.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the Pythagorean Theorem, a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

8^2 = 2^2 + x^2

x^2 = 8^2 - 2^2

x^2 = 64 - 4

x^2 = 60

x = sqrt of 60

What is another way to write this number?

300 + 70 + 5 + 8
300 + 70 +
10
100
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

Combine the terms

300 + 70 = 370

5/10 + 8/100

Note that first, you must find common denominators. What you multiply to the denominator, you multiply to the numerator. Multiply 10 to the numerator and denominator of 5/10

(5/10)(10/10) = 50/100

50/100 + 8/100

Combine the terms

50/100 + 8/100 = 58/100

370 58/100 is another way to write it

Which points are on the perpendicular bisector of the given segment? Check all that apply. Please explain how you got your answe
ser-zykov [4K]
First, you have to find the equation of the perpendicular bisector of this given line.
to do that, you need the slope of the perpendicular line and one point.
Step 1: find the slope of the given line segment. We have the two end points (10, 15) and (-20, 5), so the slope is m=(15-5)/(10-(-20))=1/3
the slope of the perpendicular line is the negative reciprocal of the slope of the given line, m=-3/1=-3
step 2: find the middle point: x=(-20+10)/2=-5, y=(15+5)/2=10      (-5, 10)
so the equation of the perpendicular line in point-slope form is (y-10)=-3(x+5)

now plug in all the given coordinates to the equation to see which pair fits:
(-8, 19): 19-10=9, -3(-8+5)=9, so yes, (-8, 19) is on the perpendicular line.

try the other pairs, you will find that (1,-8) and (-5, 10) fit the equation too. (-5,10) happens to be the midpoint.
