X= price of camera

Multiplying the price of the camera by the sales tax percent will equal the amount of tax. Add the amount of tax to the price of the camera.

x + (x * 7%)= $45.00
convert % to decimal (7% ÷ 100)

x + (x * 0.07)= 45.00
multiply in parentheses

x + 0.07x= 45.00
combine like terms

1.07x= 45.00
divide both sides by 1.07

x= $42.056

x= $42.06 rounded

ANSWER: (D) x + 0.07x= $45; x= $42.06

Hope this helps! :)

If you're talking about inequality graphs, you shade the area where any point in the shaded area can solve the inequality, if I remember correctly. I can't exactly show you how much to shade.

Math Question :
saw5 [17]
Let x = amount of mortgage (aka the amount by the bank)

25% of the monthly income of $3000 is 0.25*3000 = 750 dollars

So using this rule, the family can pay up to $750 per month on mortgage

1% of the amount loaned (x) is equal to this figure, so

0.01*x = 750
0.01*x/0.01 = 750/0.01
x = 75000

Therefore, the most expensive mortgage this family can afford is $75,000. Anything higher and they go over budget.
