Answer:

$0.25 for each newspaper

Step-by-step explanation:

A newspaper carrier earned yesterday = 4 hours

He delivered total newspapers in 4 hours = 120

in one hour he delivered newspapers = \frac{120}{4} = 30

his average hourly wage was = $7.50

He earned for each newspaper delivered = \frac{7.50}{30} = $0.25

He earn $0.25 for each newspaper he delivered.

we know that

1) yesterday the average hourly wage was -------> $7.50 an hour

2) if he worked 4 hours yesterday and delivered 120 newspapers

so

4*$7.50=$30

Divide $30 by 120 newspapers

30/120=$0.25

therefore

the answer is

He earn $0.25 for each newspaper delivered

Janaya buys a postcard from each travel destination she visits. Before starting her travels this year, Janaya had 20 postcards.
MrRa [10]

Answer:

The percentage increase in Jayana's postcard collection is 15%

Step-by-step explanation:

Jayana had 20 postcards last year

With 3 more postcards this year

From the given equation Quantity = Percent x Whole

Here;

Let P = Percent/100%

Quantity = Increment in postcard = 3 postcards

Whole = The total postcards from last year = 20 postcards

Hence,

3 postcards = P x 20 postcards

P = 3/20 = 0.15

Recall P = Percent/100%

∴ Percent = P x 100% = 0.15 x 100% = 15%

The percentage increase in Jayana's postcard collection is 15%
