Answer: FALSE

Explanation: Short reflexes(Intergraded by the ENS) are also known as local reflexes, they occur with the neurons if the enteric nervous system that are housed within the gastrointestinal tract wall.

They involve the direct stimulation of a postganglionic fiber by the sensory neurone.

Long reflexes (Intergrades by the CNS) occurs when sensory inputs from receptors is related to the central nervous system in response to stimulation, they involve feedforward reflexes and emotional reflexes also called cephalic reflexes because they originate in the brain.

From the question, there is involvement of chemoreceptors and mechanoreceptors inputs being relayed to the CNS which shows long reflex action.

Rescuers have just restored circulation to a 72 year old patient who was in cardiac arrest the patient's vital signs are b/p
Svetradugi [14.3K]
For vital signs in which the b/p is 112/170, P is 54, Resp. is 12, and patient is semi-responsive, the treatment to most likely benefit the patient would be to request for advanced life support (ALS) during the transport of the patient to the emergency department.

Advanced life support will allow for the intubation of the patient to administer certain medications to improve the patient's condition or prevent him/her from having another cardiac arrest. The patient should not be given nitro and should not be transported in prone position.

What role do red blood cells play in the human body?
Vikki [24]
Red blood cells carry oxygen around the body. These specialized cells are outfitted with the substance hemoglobin, which is a protein, and is the actual oxygen carrying molecule on the cell. The cell has a unique shape that allows it to carry as much oxygen molecules as possible. Red blood cells also transport carbon dioxide away from cells and back to the lungs where the cells are then re-oxygenated.
